The short version
Your images and videos are never uploaded. Everything the tool does happens inside your browser, on your own device. We never receive your files, so we cannot store, read, share or lose them.
The site does serve third-party advertising, and advertising uses cookies. That part is described in full below, because it is the part that actually involves your data.
Files you process
When you open an image or video in the tool, your browser reads it from your device into the memory of the page. It is processed there and the result is written back to your device when you download it. No copy is transmitted to us or to anyone else.
This is enforced technically, not merely promised: the site sends a Content Security Policy that instructs your browser to block network requests from the tool to any external server. You can verify this yourself in your browser's developer tools under the Network tab.
Information stored on your device
The tool stores a small amount of data locally in your browser, using IndexedDB and localStorage, to remember corrections you make so that detection improves for you over time. This never leaves your device and is not visible to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it permanently.
Advertising
This site is free and is funded by advertising. We use Google AdSense to serve ads.

Analytics
We do not run a separate analytics product. Our host records standard server request logs — IP address, time, page requested, user agent — which are used for security and to keep the service running, and are not combined with anything else or used to build a profile of you.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your rights
Because we hold no account for you and receive none of your files, there is generally no personal data of yours for us to retrieve or delete. For advertising data held by Google, use the Google links above. For anything else, write to us at hello@cutlume.com.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it.
